Capodichino raggiunge un traguardo ambientale: l'avanguardia dell'aviazione verde in Italia.

L'aeroporto di Napoli è il primo in Italia a ottenere la certificazione Level 5 di ACI Europe.

Questo include un sistema fotovoltaico su misura da 2,4 MW che aumenti l'indipendenza energetica, pannelli solari termici che permettono il passaggio dell'avamposto dei vigili del fuoco dai combustibili fossili, un passaggio graduale ai veicoli aeroportuali elettrici, progetti di riforestazione urbana e sofisticati protocolli di operazioni di volo.

Di conseguenza, l'aeroporto ha diminuito significativamente la sua impronta acustica e di carbonio, riducendo oltre 30.000 tonnellate di emissioni di CO2 e riducendo l'impatto acustico dimezzando la popolazione esposta grazie a percorsi di volo modificati.
